Jesus said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." Matthew 19:26
WOW! Praise the Lord!
A little over six months has passed since the historic flood that changed our lives. As you know, Lanier Baptist Church was not excluded from the devastation, but the Lord has poured out blessings on our church beyond measure. By the prompting of the Holy Spirit, organizations, groups and individuals have given of their time, resources, and energy. God knows what we need at the exact time we need it. His people continue to pray fervently, donate financially and work physically, to rebuild the campus.
We thank the Lord often for each and every one of you who have given of yourselves in this journey. We remain diligent in stretching the dollars that we receive, and we seek to honor God with every detail as we rebuild His campus. We were able to resume worship service on February 12th. Our first post-flood church service - what a blessing!
The progress regarding the rest of the campus is equally uplifting. The church office is complete and looks better than it has in a long time. In addition, our children's buildings are on the verge of being finished. The repairs, while lengthy, are continuing to be done and done well. While there is still much to do, we are committed to persevere and to trust the Lord to see us through a complete and full restoration.
We are also very excited about what the Lord has in store for the future of Lanier Baptist Church. We ask that you continue to pray for us as we continue to faithfully follow His divine plan for His church.
